Israel and the Land | God's Promises and His Future Plans for Israel

THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME OF GOD’S PROMISES AND HIS FUTURE PLANS FOR ISRAEL. There are many more!

Because of so much deception regarding Israel, increasing antisemitism, and the belief in replacement theology in many churches, it is most important that we KNOW WHAT GOD SAYS. The only thing we need to know is what God states in His eternal Word. And what He says stands forever.

Numbers 23:8, 19, 20. Balak asked Balaam to come and curse Israel, but God would not let him speak one curse. Only blessings came out of his mouth: “How shall I curse whom God hath not cursed? Or how shall I defy whom the LORD     hath not defied?

God is not a man that he should lie, neither the son of man that he should repent: hath he said and shall he not do it? Hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I CANNOT REVERSE IT.” If God won’t reverse it, we had better not!

Isaiah 40:6: “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever”

Ezekiel 12:25: “For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass.” Read also 1 Samuel 15:29; Job 23:13; Psalm 33:9, 11; 115:3; Proverbs 19:21; Isaiah 14:27; 46:10b; 55:11; and Jeremiah 1:12.

Luke 1:23: “Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away.”

Romans 11:29 (Msg): Speaking of God’s plans for Israel: “God’s gifts and God’s call are under full warranty—never canceled, never rescinded.” They are irrevocable.

Hebrews 6:18: It is “impossible for God to lie.”

Also God commands us in the New Testament, Romans 11 what our attitude should be to these following promises:

  1. We must not boast that we have been grafted in to take their place. No, we are just a wild olive branch, not the root. Verse 18.
  2. We must not be high minded. Verse 20.
  3. We must walk in fear “for if God pared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee” (Verse 20-22).
  4. We must not be ignorant. Ignorance is not an excuse. We must know what God says about His people and His plans for them. You’ll get to know them as you read the Scriptures below. Verse 25.
  5. We must not be wise in our own conceits. Verse 25.
  6. We must have the same attitude God has toward them. In God’s eyes they are “beloved for the father’s sakes” (Verse 28).
  7. We must show mercy. Because we have obtained mercy through their unbelief, we must show mercy to them so that through our mercy they will obtain mercy. Verses 30, 31 and Jeremiah 31:20).

Here we go:

“For ALL THE LAND which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed FOREVER . . .” (Genesis 13:6).

“And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an EVERLASTING COVENANT, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an EVERLASTING POSSESSION: and I will be their God” (Genesis 17:7, 8). If you read verses 7-10 you will read the words “thy seed after thee” five times! God wanted to make sure that this promise was not only for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but for their offspring after them forever.

“This land shall not be sold forever: for the land is MINE”  (Leviticus 25:23).

“Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abaham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

The land also shall be left of them and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity . . .

And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God: I am the LORD.

But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD” (Leviticus 26:40-46).

Israel and the land are synonymous.

“Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee FOREVER” (Deuteronomy 4:40).

“I will never break my covenant with you” (Judges 2:1).

“For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people” (1 Samuel 12:25).

“For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee FOREVER” (2 Samuel 7:24). The NLT says: “You made Israel your very own people forever, and you, O LORD, became their God.”

“For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession” (Psalm 69:35).

“O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen . . .

He hath remembered his covenant FOREVER, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,

Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an EVERLASTING COVENANT;

Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance”

(Psalm 105:6-11 and 1 Chronicles 16:13-18). Read also Luke 1:68-74). Do you notice who these words are spoken to? “Saying, unto thee (to Israel, v. 6). It is not saying, “unto thee church.”

“For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure” (Psalm 135:4).

“The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel” (Psalm 147:2).

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee” (Psalm 122:6).

“And it shall come to pass is that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again THE SECOND TIME to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth” (Isaiah 11:11-13).

“For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, AND SET THEM IN THEIR OWN LAND: . . . and the house of Israel shall possess them IN THE LAND OF THE LORD . . .” (Isaiah 14:1, 2). Cf. “they shall dwell in THEIR OWN LAND” (Jeremiah 23:8).

Notice once again that God calls it “their OWN land.”

“The Sovereign LORD will wipe away all tears. He will remove forever all insults and mockery against His land and people. The LORD has spoken!” (Isaiah 25:7, 8 NLT).

“Ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel” (Isaiah 27:12).

“He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.” (Isaiah 27:6). This is happening right now fulfilling Bible prophecy. Did you know that Israel now exports 1.5 billion lbs. of vegetables annually?

“The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing . . .” (Isaiah 35:1, 2). This is happening in our time. Israel now exports millions of flowers annually from the Negev desert!

“The moon will be as bright as the sun, and the sun will be seven times brighter—like the light of seven days in one! So it will be when the LORD begins to heal his people and cure the wounds he gave them” (Isaiah 30:26).

“Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought” (Isaiah 41:11, 12).

“Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him” (Isaiah 43:5-7).

“That confirms the word of his servant, and performs the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof” (Isaiah 44:26).

“Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me” (Isaiah 49:15, 16)

“Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim . . .

Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me . . .

Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.

And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me” (Isaiah 49:12-23).

These powerful promises are still waiting to be fulfilled.

“Even the most desolate parts of your abandoned land will soon be crowded with your people. Your enemies who enslaved you will be far away. The generations born in exile will return and say, ‘We need more room! It’s crowded here!’” (Isaiah 49:19, 20 NLT).

“Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land FOR EVER, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified” (Isaiah 60:21).

“And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers” (Isaiah 61:4, 5). Cf. 60:10. This is happening in Israel today as young people and families come from different countries across the world to help the settlers harvest their vineyards and olive orchards.

“I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall NEVER HOLD THEIR PEACE day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, KEEP NOT SILENCE, And GIVE HIM NO REST, till he stablish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth” (Isaiah 62:6, 7). Cf. Psalm 137:5, 6.

“Who has ever heard of such things? Who has ever seen things like this? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children” (Isaiah 66:8).

“In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers” (Jeremiah 3:18).

The bringing back of Israel to their land in the last days (and which began in 1948, and before, and is continuing to this day and will yet continue) is going to be a greater miracle than God bringing them out of Egypt!

“Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them AGAIN into THEIR LAND that I gave unto their fathers.
Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face . . .” (Jeremiah 16: 14-17). These same words are repeated again in Jeremiah 23:7, 8.

“Thus saith the LORD against all mine evil neighbors, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them” (Jeremiah 12:14).

“For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and THEY SHALL POSSESS IT” (Jeremiah 30:3).

“For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:

But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them,

Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel, for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity, and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.

For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee; though I make full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.” (Jeremiah 30:8-11).

“Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria (these words are already being fulfilled in Israel. Hundreds and hundreds of vines have been and are being planted on the barren hillsides of Samaria and they are bringing forth fruit abundantly)

Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.

They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of water in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock (Jeremiah 31:5-10).

“And they shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to THEIR OWN BORDER” (Jeremiah 31:16, 17). It is worth reading the whole chapter of Jeremiah 31.

“Return, they must, poor Israel, return thou must to these, THY OWN CITIES” (Jeremiah 31:21 KNOX).

“Return to these cities of yours” (Jeremiah 31:21 NET).

The sun and he moon would have to disappear and the earth cease to exist before God will give up on His promises for Israel:

“Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; the LORD of hosts is his name:

If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever.

Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.” (Jeremiah 31:35-37). These Scriptures are repeated again in Jeremiah 33:19-26.

“Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land

ASSUREDLY with MY WHOLE HEART and with MY WHOLE SOUL” (Jeremiah 32:41-43).

“And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, AS AT THE FIRST” (Jeremiah 33:7).

“And they shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to THEIR OWN BORDER” (Jeremiah 31:16, 17). It’s worth reading verses 16-26).

“Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel” (Ezekiel 11:16, 17).

“And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; yea, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God” (Ezekiel 28:26).

“For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the LORD GOD, there shall ALL THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, ALL OF THEM IN THE LAND, serve me: there will I accept them . . . I will accept you with your sweet savor, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.

And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers . . .” (Ezekiel 20:39-44).

“As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to THEIR OWN LAND, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers and in all the inhabited places of the country.

I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel . . .” (Ezekiel 34:11-15).

“And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it . . . and they shall be safe IN THEIR LAND, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them  . . they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid . . .

Thus shall they know that I the LORD their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord God.

And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God” (Ezekiel 34:22-31).

“And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, EVEN ALL OF IT:

and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded: And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD” (Ezekiel 36:10-11).

“Thus saith the Lord God; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with   men like a flock. As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know I am the LORD” (Ezekiel 36:37-38). It is good to read the whole chapter of Ezekiel 36.

“Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL: behold, they say, Our bones are dried and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up your of your graves, and BRING YOU INTO THE LAND OF ISRAEL.

And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall PLACE YOU IN YOUR OWN LAND: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.” (Ezekiel 37:11-14).

Notice that this prophetic word from God is to “my people,” the Israelites. He is not speaking to Gentiles.

Read this amazing passage (I’m only typing parts of it) where God promises that not only Judah, but the 10 lost tribes of Israel will be joined to Judah and will come back to the land. There are many more miracles yet to take place to fulfil all God’s plans for His people, Israel:

“Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, for Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:

And join them one to another into one stick: and they shall become one in thine hand . . .

Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold I will take the stick of Joseph . . . with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand . . .

Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and BRING THEM INTO THEIR OWN LAND.

And I will make them one nation IN THE LAND upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be No more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all . . .

And they shall DWELL IN THE LAND that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children FOREVER: and my servant David shall be their prince FOREVER . . .” (Ezekiel 37:15-28).

“Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an EVERLASTING COVENEANT with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore” (Ezekiel 37:26).

“Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, and will be jealous for my holy name;

After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they trespassed against me . . .

When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;

Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them INTO THEIR OWN LAND, and have left none of them any more there.

Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord God” (Ezekiel 39:21-29).

“The LORD says, ‘I will cure them of their unfaithfulness. I will love them freely. I will no longer be angry with them.

I will be like dew to the people of Israel. They will blossom like flowers. They will be firmly rooted like cedars from Lebanon.

They will be like growing branches. They will be beautiful like olive trees. They will be fragrant like cedars from Lebanon.

They will live again in God’s shadow. They will grow like gain. They will blossom like grapevines” (Hosea 14:5-7 NLT).

“Judah shall dwell FOREVER and Jerusalem from GENERATION TO GENERATION” (Joel 3:20).

“And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon THEIR LAND, and they shall no more be pulled up out of THEIR LAND which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God” (Amos 9:14, 15).

Do you notice that it is “their land”? It belongs to God’s people, the Israelites. It does not belong to any Gentile nation. And if Gentiles do not realize it is Israel’s land, given to them for an “everlasting possession” then why are they not going back to live in the land? It is the Jews who are being wooed by God back to “their land.”

“And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks.

And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the LORD their God shall visit them and turn away their captivity” (Zephaniah 2:4-7).

“At that time I will change the speech of my returning people to pure Hebrew so that all can worship together” (Zephaniah 3:9 TLB). Read the amazing story of Eliezer Ben Yehuda, “The Tongue of the Prophets,” who God raised up to restore the Hebrew language in preparation for the Israelites coming back to the land. God had the language ready for the people as they have come back speaking 83 different languages. When they arrive they go to an Ulpan where they learn Hebrew so all can speak the same language.

“Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee; and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.

At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD” (Zephaniah 3:17-20).

“Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealously” (Zechariah 1:14).

“And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again” (Zechariah 2:12).

“Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.

Thus saith the LORD: I am returned unto Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain . . .”

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country,

And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.” (Zechariah 8:2-8)

“And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel, so I will save you, and YE SHALL BE A BLESSING. Fear not, Let your hands be strong . . . So again have I thought in these days TO DO WELL unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Fear ye not” (Zechariah 8:13-15).

“And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon His land” (Zechariah 9:16, 17). Five other translations use the word “sparkling.” E.g.

GW: “They will certainly sparkle in His land like jewels in a crown.  They will be beautiful and lovely.”

“For the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle . . . And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies . . .  and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them” (Zechariah 10:3-5).

“And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God and will hear them” (Zechariah 10:6).

“I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased. And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again” (Zechariah 10:8, 9).

“I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them” (Zechariah 10:10).

“In that day (which means it is going to happen in God’s perfect timing) shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. (Wow, that certainly hasn’t happened yet, but it will happen because it is the eternal word of God!).

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn . . .

And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart . . .

All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart” (Zechariah 12:8-14).

And this has not yet happened, but it is going to happen. We wait in expectancy for it to happen!

“And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.” (Zechariah 13:6).

We also wait in prayer and expectancy for this day to come, and it will come, because it is the word of the Lord.

“I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid” (Romans 11:1).

“I say then, Have they stumbled, that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

Now if the fall of them be the RICHES OF THE WORLD, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; HOW MUCH MORE THEIR FULLNESS” (Romans 11:11, 12).

“For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but LIFE FROM THE DEAD?” (Romans 11:15).

“For if thou wast cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wast grafted contrary to nature into a good olive three HOW MUCH MORE shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of the mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.

And so ALL ISRAEL SHALL BE SAVED; as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness form Jacob.

For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

As concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sakes; but as TOUCHING THE ELECTION, THEY ARE BELOVED FOR THE FATHER’ SAKE” (Romans 11:24-28).

NOTICE:

In the above Scriptures “THEIR OWN LAND” or “own cities” occur 13 times. This can only refer to Israel. There is no way that anyone can make these Scriptures refer to the church. It is false doctrine to think they apply to the church.

In the above Scriptures God promises 11 times that Israel will be His people FOREVER! We would believe it if He stated it once, but we see it 11 times in the above Scriptures.

GOD’S GLORIOUS FUTURE FOR ISRAEL:

A few Scriptures about God’s glorious future for Israel:

Isaiah 4:5, 6; 28:5; 45:25; 46:13; 49:1-7; 22-26; 55:5; 60:1-22; 61:6-9; 62:2-12; 66:10-14, 18; and Zechariah 2:5.

A JEW WILL RULE THE WORLD:

Israel and the Land | Everlasting Possession (Without Pictures)

The wonderful Scriptures of how God promises the land of Israel to His people for an
EVERLASTING POSSESSION.
It belongs to them by God’s divine order.

In this time of history when the nations around Israel would like to see her wiped out and thrown into the sea, we as believers in His Word must know what God says about His people and His land. If we don't know the Scriptures we can be deceived by the propaganda of an ungodly media.

It is not only important for you to know the Scriptures about Israel, but for your children to know them, too. Print off these Scriptures so you can gradually read them personally. I know there are so many--God is not silent on this subject! Read them a little at a time until you have absorbed them all.

Also, use them in your Family Devotions Take a few at a time and read them to your children. Teach your children these promises and discuss them together.

The land of Israel is ultimately God’s land.

“This land shall not be sold forever: for the land is MINE” (Leviticus 25:23).

“(God) will be merciful unto HIS land, and to HIS people” (Deuteronomy 32:43; Ezekiel 36:20).

God is called “the God of the land” (2 Kings 17:26-27).

“Then will the Lord be jealous for HIS land, and pity His people” (Joel 2:18).

“They have divided up MY land” (Joel 3:2; 2 Chronicles 7:20; Psalm 85:1)).

“The LORD’S land” (Hosea 9:3; Zechariah 9:16).

God gave it to His people Israel by divine covenant.

“I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land… all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession” (Genesis 17:8).

“They shall inherit the land forever” (Isaiah 60:21).

Genesis 12:7; 13:14-17; 15:7, 17-21; 17:7-8; 24:7; 26:2-5; 28:12-15; 35:10-12; 48:4 and 50:24.

Exodus 3:8, 17; 6:2-8; 15:17; 32:13; 33:1-3; Leviticus 20:24 and 26:42-45.

Deuteronomy 1:6-8; 6:23; 11:9, 24, 26:15; 32:49; 34:1-4; Joshua 1:1-6; 2:24; 1 Samuel 12:22; 2 Samuel 7:24; 1 Chronicles 16:15-19; 2 Chronicles 20:7 and Nehemiah 9:8, 24-25.

Psalm 47:4; 69:35-36; 94:14; 102:13-16; 105:6-12; 42-45; 135:10-12; 136:18-22; 147:2; Jeremiah 7:7 and Ezekiel 20:5-6.

Although the Israelites were scattered across the nations because of disobeying God’s commandments, God promised He would bring them back to their land. God cannot, and will not, fail His promises.

“Therefore, behold the days come, saith the Lord, that it shall no more be said, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; but, the Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers” (Jeremiah 16:14-15 and 23:7-8).

“Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name: if those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever. Thus saith the Lord; if heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord”(Jeremiah 31:34-37 and 33:23-26).

“Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul” (Jeremiah 32:41).

“Then they shall know that I am the Lord their God because I sent them into exile among the nations, and then gathered them into their own land. I will leave none of them remaining among the nations any more” (Ezekiel 39:28 RSV).

There is not only one promise of them coming back to the land, but over 100 promises. You will be inspired as you read every promise! Jews are now living in Israel from 102 nations of the world and 88 different languages, and all speaking or learning Hebrew.

Leviticus 26:40-42, 44-55; Numbers 10:29b; Deuteronomy 30:1-9; Nehemiah 1:8-9; Psalm 69:35-36; 102:13-16; 106:44-47 and 107:2-3.

Isaiah 2:1-4;10:20-22; 11:11-12, 16;14:1-2; 27:6,12-13; 32:17-18; 35:10; 41:8-109; 43:5-6, 13; 44:3-5, 26; 49:5-6, 8-16; 22-23; 51:3,11,14; 54:2-8; 56:6-8; 57:14, 18; 58:12; 60:4, 9, 21; 61:4-7; 62:4-5; 65:9-10, 21 and 66:8.

Ezekiel 11:17-20; 20:5-6, 34, 40-44; 28:25-26; 33:24; 34:11-16, 27-31; 36:8-12, 22-28, 33-38; 37:1-28; 39:25-29; 47:13-23 and 48:29-35.

Hosea 2:14-23; 3:4-5; 11:11-12; 14:4-7; Joel 3:1-2; Amos 2:10; 9:11-15; Micah 2:12; 4:1-8; 11-12; Zephaniah 2:6-7; 3:19-20; Zechariah 2:4-8,12; 3:19-20; 8:1-8, 20-23; 9:16-17; 10:6-12; 12:1-14 and Romans 11:25-36.

The following Scriptures are being fulfilled right now as hundreds of believers from USA and other countries work with the vinedressers on the hills of Samaria (the West Bank)—planting, pruning, and harvesting the grapevines. Check out www.hayovel.com

“And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls” (Isaiah 60:10).

“And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers” (Isaiah 61:5).

“Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria, the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things” (Jeremiah 31:5).

“And I will give her her vineyards... she will sing there as in the days of her youth” (Hosea 2:15).

“The mountains shall drop sweet wine... And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God” (Amos 9:13-15).

"For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase"(Zechariah 8:12).

God gave His promises about the land of Israel by the "swearing of an oath."

Genesis 22:10-17; 24:7; 26:3-5; 50:24; Exodus 13:5, 11; 33:1 and 32:13.

Deuteronomy 1:8; 4:31; 6:10, 18, 23; 7:8, 12-13; 8:1, 18; 9:5; 10:11; 11:9, 21; 26:3; 28:9-11; 30:20; 31:7, 20-23; 34:4 and 26:15.

Joshua 1:6; 21:43-44; Judges 2:1; Jeremiah 32:22; 11:5 and Micah 7:20.

The Jews are not living in “Occupied Territories” but in “their own land” which God has given to them.

“For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into yourown land” (Ezekiel 36:24). Read also Jeremiah 23:7-8; 42:12; Ezekiel 28:25-26; 34:13; 37:14, 21, 25; 39:28 and Hosea 11:11.

God not only remembers the people of Israel, but the land of Israel.

“Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember: and I will remember the land” (Leviticus 26:42). Read also Deuteronomy 32:43.

God not only speaks to His people, but to the land.

“Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are broken... O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come. (Now that God's people have come, and are continuing to come, back to the land, God is speaking to it to bring forth fruit. It is happening through the divine Word of the Lord)!

“For, behold I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown: and I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded... they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the Lord. Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance” (from Ezekiel 36. Please read the whole chapter from v.1-30). Read also Jeremiah 33:22 and 33:11.

God promises to multiply the produce of the land when His people return.

"For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things"(Zechariah 8:12).

Deuteronomy 30:3, 9; Isaiah 27:6; 44:23; 61:3; 65:21; Jeremiah 32:15; Ezekiel 28:26; 36:8, 29-30; 34-36; Joel 2:21-27; Amos 9:13-14 and Zechariah 8:11-12.

God promises to multiply His people when He brings them back to the land.

"And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase" (Zechariah 23:3).

Deuteronomy 30:3, 9; Isaiah 62:4; Jeremiah 3:16-17; 30:18-19; 31:27-28; 33:7, 22; Ezekiel 36:10-14; 37-38; 37:26; Micah 1:2 AMP, Zechariah 8:4-6; 10:8-10 and Micah 2:12.

We must bring these promises before the Lord because not all Jews in the land are embracing all the children God wants them to have to fulfill these prophecies. God wants us to ask Him to fulfill this prophetic word (Ezekiel 36:37).Him to do this (Ezekiel 36:37).

God promises to build up Israel and Jerusalem again. God does not want the building in Israel to stop, but to continue and intensify. It is when He builds upon Zion that He will appear in all His glory.

“When the Lord shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory” (Psalm 102:16).

Psalm 51:18; 69:35-36; 147:2; Isaiah 58:12; 61:4; Jeremiah 30:18; 31:4-6, 28; 33:7; Ezekiel 28:25-26; 36:10, 33, 36; Amos 9:11 and Zechariah 1:16.

God's Final Plans for Israel.

Psalm 102:13-16, 21-22; 89:27-37; Isaiah 2:1-3; 4:2-6; 9:6-7; 33:20-22, 24; 35:1-10; 45:14; 51:11; 60:10-22; 61:6-9; 62:1-12; 65:18-24; 66:5-24; Jeremiah 33:1-26; Joel 2:18-32; 3:16-21; Zechariah 8:1-23; 14:16-21; Amos 9:8-15; Micah 4:1-5; Romans 11:12-15; Revelation 21 and 22:1-5.

Woe to those who seek to divide and do evil against the land of Israel.

“For behold, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land” (Joel 3:1-2).

Genesis 12:3; Psalm 129:5; Jeremiah 51:24; Ezekiel 25:7; 35:1-15; 36:1-7; 38:18-23; Obadiah 15 and Zechariah 12:1-9.

Israel fills the Bible.

Without the nation of Israel and the land of Israel we would have a very small Bible. God's chosen people and His chosen land of Israel, including the city of Jerusalem (where God has chosen to place His name), fills the Bible from Genesis to the last chapter of Revelation. Satan knows that if he can wipe out Israel, he wipes out the eternal living Word of God.

God wants us to proclaim to the nations this wonderful news of bringing His people back to the land.

Isaiah 11:12, "He shall set up an ensign (banner, standard, billboard) for the nation, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth."

Jeremiah 31:10, "Hear the word of the Lord, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock."

We must faithfully pray for the land of Israel! Every individual believer, every family, and every church should daily pray for Israel. As the nations of the world are coming against Israel, God’s people must pray and stand with God’s eternal Word. Take these promises and bring them before the Lord. We are told in Isaiah 62:6-7 to remind the Lord of His promises.

“I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land…” (Ezekiel 22:30). Also Ezekiel 13:5.

What about Jerusalem?

“Even though you are exiled to the farthest corners of the universe, I will bring you back to Jerusalem. For Jerusalem is the place in which I have chosen to live” (Nehemiah 1:9 TLB).

"I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God" (Zechariah 8:8).

Out of all the cities in the world, God chose Jerusalem to put His name, and to one day reign from this city.

"The Lord has founded Zion" (Isaiah 14:32)

Deuteronomy 12:5, 11-12; Ezra 7:15; 1 Kings 8:29; 9:3; 11:13, 32; 2 Kings 21:4, 7; 2 Chronicles 6:5-6; 7:16; 12:13; 20:9; 33:4; Nehemiah 1:9; Psalm 48:1-2, 8; 68:16; 78:68; 87:1-3, 5; 102:21-22; 128:5-6; 132:13-14 and 135:2.

Isaiah 2:1-3; 8:18b; 14:32; 18:7c; 24:23; 40:2, 9-11; 52:7-10; 68:15-16; Jeremiah 3:17; Ezekiel 5:5; 43:7; Joel 2:32; 3:16-21; Amos 1:2; Micah 4:7; Zephaniah 3:14-16; Zechariah 1:14-17; 2:2-13; 3:2; 8:2-8, 20-23; 14:9-11 and Matthew 5:34-35.

“The house of the Lord which is at Jerusalem” (Ezra 1:3, 5; 2:68; 3:8; 5:2, 15-17; 6:3a, 12, 14—18 and 7:15, 19, 27).

God calls Jerusalem, “My holy mountain” (Joel 2:1; 3:17). It doesn’t belong to anyone else. Read also Psalm 2:6; Isaiah 65:12, 25; 66:20 and Ezekiel 20:40.

God is called the “God of Israel,” but He is also called the “God of Jerusalem” (Ezra 7:19).

King David of Israel captured Jerusalem around about 1003 BC.

We do not know the exact date of the following Scripture, but at least we know that the Jews celebrate 3,000 years of their history of Jerusalem.

“And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spoke unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shall not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither. Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion: the same is the city of David. So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the City of David” (2 Samuel 5:6-7, 9).

The Jews will not only return to Israel but to their city of Jerusalem.

Psalm 147:2; Isaiah 2:2-3; 27:13; 31:5; 33:20-21; 35:10; 44:26-28; 52:1-10; 65:18-19; 66:10-13; Jeremiah 3:17-18; 31:6, 38-40; 50:5; Ezekiel 5:5; 20:40; Joel; 2:32; 3:16-21; Obadiah 17; Zechariah 2:4; 3:3-8; 8:1-8, 21-23; 12:1-14 and 14:12-15.

Woe to those who tamper with Jerusalem.

Psalm 125:5-8; Isaiah 29:8; 31:4-5; 50:28; 51:24; 52:9-10; 60:14; Joel 3:2, 19; Amos 1:2 and Zechariah 14:12-15.

We must faithfully pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee" (Psalm 122).

We must remind the Lord of His promises for Israel and Jerusalem.

“I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord (the margin of my Bible says, “you who are the Lord’s reminders”), keep not silence, and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth” (Isaiah 62:6-7). Read also Psalm 122:6-9; 137:5-6 and 147:2.

“Not one of the good promises which the Lord had made to the house of Israel failed: all came to pass” (Joshua 21:45 NASB).

“Not one word has failed of all His good promise” (1 Kings 8:56 NASB).

Nancy praying at the Wailing Wall

We must faithfully pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

flowing land - nancypraygeth

****************************************************************************************************

Although God gave the land of Israel to the Israelites and it belongs to them by an everlasting decree and promise, they also had to do their part to go into the land. God also blesses us with motherhood but we have to do our part to fully enjoy it.

1.    WE HAVE TO POSSESS THE LAND

Leviticus 20:24; Numbers 14:24; 33:53; Deuteronomy 1:8, 21; 4:1, 5, 14, 22; 5:31-33; 6:1, 19, 7:`1; 8:1; 9:1 10:11; 11:8, 10-11, 31; 12:1-2, 29; 15:4; 19:1; 23:20; 25:19; 30:5,16; 31:3, 13; Joshua 1:11; 18:3; 23:5; Judges 2:6; 18:9; Isaiah 57:13b; 61:7 and Jeremiah 30:3.

2.    WE HAVE TO DWELL IN THE LAND

Leviticus 25:18; 26:5; Numbers 33:53; Deuteronomy 11:31; 12:10; 30:20;  Psalm 37:3, 29; 69:35-36; Isaiah 30:19; 32:18; Jeremiah 23:7-8; 25:5; Ezekiel 28:25; 34:13; 36:24; 37:14; 36:28 and 37:25.

3.    WE HAVE TO DEFEAT THE ENEMY IN THE LAND

Numbers 33:50-55; Deuteronomy 7:2-5; 9:3; 12:2-3; 25:19 and Joshua 23:7, 12-13.

4.    WE HAVE TO ENJOY THE LAND

Joshua 1:15 and Isaiah 61:7.

5.    WE HAVE TO LIVE GOD’S WAY IN THE LAND, NOT OUR WAY

Leviticus 25:18-19; Deuteronomy 4:1-2, 5-9, 14; 5:31-33; 6:1-3, 18; 11: 8; 12:1, 28, 32; 30:16; 32:46-47 and Joshua 23: 7-8.

6.    WE HAVE TO KNOW THE “GOD OF THE LAND.”

2 Kings 17:26-27

7.    WE HAVE TO PASS THIS GOOD LAND ON TO OUR CHILDREN

Deuteronomy 1:8; 6:4-9; 11:8-9; 18-28, 12:1; 18-23; 12:28; 187:21; 31:12-13; 32:46-47; Psalm 69:36 and  2 Chronicles 28:8.
