THE NEW ABOVE RUBIES, # 80

Tonight I am checking the last minute layout details with the Design Artist and it will go to the printers while I am away. They will have the proofs ready for me to check the moment I come home and the magazine will go straight on to the presses. We should be sending it out to you the beginning of November.

When my sister, Kate, was proof-reading my book, 100 Days of Blessing, I noticed loads of little Post-it Notes sticking to her arm. "What on earth are you doing, Kate?" I asked. GENITICALLY MODIFIED FOODS

I took the TRUE food safety threat seriously upon reading an article on page 14 of Above Rubies # 79 regarding staying away from GMOs. I immediately raided the kitchen after that, tossing out all non-organic corn products. It helped me to realize my recent allergic reaction after eating yellow Popcorn was REAL.

As a result, we will be looking to start our own organic garden in the upcoming year (though we have NO CLUE how, but are looking for information now). This has also been a great science/political lesson for my home schooled children.
