WHICH KINGDOM?, No. 550

WHICH KINGDOM?

“Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you”
(Matthew 6:33).

SeekFirstWhat is the kingdom of God? It is the rule and reign of Christ in individual hearts, families, the church, and the nation. Does your home and family belong to the kingdom of God? You will know when you are at odds with the kingdom of Satan. God’s kingdom is opposite to Satan’s kingdom. Neither of the two do meet. If we fit in nicely with the world, we better check if we are really part of God’s kingdom. We can only belong to one or the other and belonging to God’s kingdom will not make us a favorite with the world.

GOD’S KINGDOM IS A KINGDOM OF TRUTH

Satan’s kingdom is one of lies and deception; God’s kingdom is a kingdom of truth. When we are part of God’s kingdom we passionately seek after truth. We discern what are lies and deception and depart from them.

GOD’S KINGDOM IS A KINGDOM OF LIFE

Satan’s kingdom is a kingdom of death; God’s kingdom is a kingdom of life. When we belong to God’s kingdom, we embrace life. We open our hearts to the children He wants to give us. We are life-givers and not life-stoppers. Life-stoppers are antithesis to God’s kingdom.

Matthew 19:14 (GW): “Jesus said, ‘Don’t stop children from coming to me! Children like these are part of God’s kingdom.” Children are at the center of the kingdom of God. If we don’t want children, we are opposite to the kingdom of God. Also read Mark 10:15, 16.

GOD’S KINGDOM IS A KINGDOM OF HOLINESS

God has laws and commandments for His kingdom, and we can only enter His kingdom on His terms (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). The devil’s kingdom loves to compromise God’s ways and preaches we must tolerate evil and never judge. The devil deceives us from God’s kingdom by convincing us that we can have eternal life without repenting from our sin.

The devil’s kingdom does not stand for judging sin. Read Ephesians 5:5; 1Peter 1:15-17; Hebrews 12:14; Revelation 21:8; and 22:15. Did you know that there is one Scripture that all the homosexuals and sex-traffickers and adulterers love? It’s “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” It’s amazing how they all know and love that Scripture even though they don’t believe the Bible?

GOD’S KINGDOM IS AN UNSHAKEABLE KINGDOM

Satan’s kingdom has no surety, but God’s kingdom is an unshakeable kingdom (Hebrews 12:28). When things in our lives begin to shake and fall apart around us, we continue rejoicing because we belong to an unshakeable kingdom that will never pass away. We will not be moved by our circumstances.

GOD’S KINGDOM IS A KINGDOM OF RIGHTEOUESNESS, PEACE, AND JOY IN THE HOLY GHOST

Satan’s kingdom is riddled with anxiety, worries, fears, depression, and destruction. God’s kingdom is filled with “righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” (Romans 14:17).

GOD’S KINGDOM IS A ROYAL KINGDOM

Satan’s kingdom is a usurping kingdom. God’s kingdom is a glorious, majestic and royal kingdom (Psalm 145:11, 12). He is King of kings and Lord of lords and to Him every knee will bow (Philippians 2:9-11).

Because we belong to a royal kingdom, we are no longer normal citizens. Because Christ dwells in us we bear the image of the heavenly. We walk in majesty and dignity. We die to our flesh and live the life of Christ which abides in us. God has “delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son” (Colossians 1:13).

Therefore, we will like royalty. We will live in a way that is conducive to those who belong to a royal kingdom. We have been made “kings and priests unto God” (Revelation 1:6).

GOD’S KINGDOM IS A KINGDOM OF FAITH

People seek after riches in Satan’s kingdom, but God’s kingdom is a kingdom of faith (Mark 10:23, 24).

GOD’S KINGDOM IS AN EVERLASTING KINGDOM

Psalm 145:13: “Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.”

Psalm 146;10: “The LORD shall reign forever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.”

The kingdoms of this world will all pass away but we belong to an everlasting kingdom! Hallelujah! Doesn’t this make you shout for joy?

May we each allow God to rule and reign in our lives and in every room of our homes.

PRAYER:

“Dear Father, thank You that You have redeemed me by Your precious blood and accepted me into Your eternal kingdom. I thank You that I live in Your kingdom now. Please anoint me to live by Your kingdom principles and live the victorious kingdom lifestyle that You have planned for me. Amen.”

AFFIRMATION:

No matter what happens in my home, no matter what happens all around me, not matter what happens in the nation, I belong to an unshakeable kingdom. I cannot be moved.
