UNTO THE END
Yesterday we talked about how we and our children must be grounded in the faith. For a few months? For a few years? No, we must be steadfast until the end.Let’s discover what God says in His Word. I would encourage you to share these Scriptures with your children, reminding them that this is why we read God’s word each day—so that we will be encouraged to keep faithful unto the end! It’s the end that counts! In fact, we should be growing stronger and stronger in the ways of the Lord each new day. We may begin weak, but we cannot end up strong. Ecclesiastes 7:8 says: “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof.”
Matthew 24:13: “But he that shall endure UNTO THE END, the same shall be saved.”
Philippians 1:1: “That ye may be sincere and without offense TILL THE DAY OF CHRIST.” (Mark 13:13).
1 Thessalonians 5:23: “I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless UNTO THE COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.”
1 Corinthians 1:8 (NRSV): “He will also STRENGTHEN YOU TO THE END, so that you may be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Thessalonians 3:13 (BSB): “So that He may ESTABLISH your hearts in blamelessness and holiness before our God and Father AT THE COMING OF OUR LORD JESUS with all His saints.”
Hebrews 3:6: “Christ as a son over his own house; whose house we are, if we HOLD FAST the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope FIRM UNTO THE END.”
Hebrews 3:14: “For we are made partakers of Christ, if we HOLD the beginning of our confidence STEADFAST UNTO THE END.”
Hebrews 6:11: “Shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope UNTO THE END.”
Hebrews 10:23: “Let us HOLD FAST the confession of our faith WITHOUT WAVERING.”
1 Peter 1:13: “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope TO THE END.” We must never give up hope. Even when things look bleak and hopeless, we hang on to hope and faith UNTIL THE END.
Jesus said in Revelation 2:25: “But that which ye have already HOLD FAST TILL I COME.”
Revelation 2:26: “He that overcometh, and keepeth my works UNTO THE END, to him will I give power over the nations.”
