Are you a reading mother? I spent hours reading to my children. It seemed as though I was full time reading nursery rhymes and stories when the children were little. As they grew older we gathered around every night after supper and read serial stories, a few chapters each night, the children calling out for more as they never wanted me to stop reading. I often read until my eyes wouldn’t stay open. Such great times. Sadly, reading to children often gets put aside in this society of TV and social media. Mothers, get out the story books. One of my favorite authors for reading to the little children is Bill Peet. I loved them because they were all in rhyme.
