WORK FOR THE PAY-OFF

Do you ever wonder why it is so easy to be negative, grumpy or discontent? Grumbling and self-pity seem to come so naturally to us, don't they? Just like the Israelites in the desert, we quickly forget our blessings, and complain in bitterness. Yet, it gets us absolutely no place that we want to be. It may come naturally for us to be that way, but there is no pay-off. The pay-off only comes with a bit of work. "In all labour there is profit" says Prov 14:23, so we must battle our natural inclinations and check ourselves. When our attitudes reflect thankfulness, praise and a positive outlook, our pay-off is joy, contentment, and a lovely home life where everyone wants to be. Love Michelle
