I walked past a lady yesterday and today I thought, "I don't remember what she looked like, I only remember how stressed she looked".
Many times I have noticed people around me, and what was it that I remembered about them? It was their expressions, not their physical appearance. I remember the anger, the sadness, or the joy and contentment that I saw on a face.I rarely remember the hair or eye color.
All too often, I think I leave an impatient face, rather than a patient, loving face, in someone's memory of me. That is not my goal at all. We wear our face more than anything else, and it should leave a beautiful impression to those that behold it.
May the peace, patience, joy, and love of God shine through our faces today. "Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God." Ps 42:11 Healthy countenances are beautiful to behold.
