OUR WORDS HAVE THE POWER TO BRING UNITY OR DIVISION

Psalm 133:1-3: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! . . . for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life forevermore.” Unity is a very important prerequisite to see our prayers answered.

Currently we face a huge fight for the life and healing of our grandson, Arden, who is battling Hodgkins Lymphoma. We would so appreciate your prayers for him. Most of our extended family who live around us meet at our home every night at 7.30 to pray for him. Arden has only been married just over four months. You can imagine what a burden this is for his precious, young wife. We know that many families have had to face similar attacks, but we thank you so much for your prayers for him too.

The enemy of our souls tries his best to divide us with all sorts of offenses to spring up so that as a family we would be rendered powerless.

We firmly believe that there is healing in the atonement along with forgiveness of sins.

Isaiah 53:4 states: “Surely he hath borne our griefs (the Hebrew word is “sicknesses) and carried our sorrows (the Hebrew word is “pain”)".

This prophetic messianic promise of Jesus’ death upon the cross is confirmed in Matthew 8:16, 17: “They brought unto him (Jesus) many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed ALL that were sick: THAT IT MIGHT BE FULFILLED which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet (Isaiah 53:4), saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”

Isaiah 53:5 says: “With his stripes we were healed.” This is also repeated again in the New Testament in 1 Peter 2:24: “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree . . . by whose stripes ye were healed.”

The disciples understood the truth of healing in the atonement. It’s about time the church stopped balking about healing for today too.

The enemy tries to do everything he can to destroy our unity in order to stop our prayers being answered, but we will never give in to the devil for he must flee at the sound of God’s people speaking forth the name of Jesus.

Be encouraged.
