GOD IS NOT AN ABSENTEE FATHER

Absentee fathers are not true fathers. They are a contradiction to fatherhood. Fatherhood is an “on the job” career. Fatherhood is the highest career known to man. To understand the importance of fatherhood we must ask ourselves the question: how would we feel if God was never available to us or revealed Himself to us as our Father?

How amazing to know that God is our Father? He tenderly cares for us. He is ever mindful of us. He engraves us on the palms of His hands (Isaiah 49:16).

John 14:23 gives us an even greater revelation of God in the lives of those who love Him and keep His words. Jesus said: “If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

This is amazing fatherhood. It reveals how much God our Father desires to be intimately involved in our lives. He wants to live with us. God is not an absentee Father. Perish the thought.

To be continued.

Be encouraged.
