1. Be committed to the vows you made on your wedding day. Marriage is a covenant to be kept not broken.

2. Keep a humble and tenderhearted attitude to one another. Stubbornness and pride kill a marriage.

3. Keep to your own role. Embrace your calling of motherhood. You live in the glory of who you were created to be when you are nurturing and nourishing your children. God does not intend you to take on the stress of your husband's role.

4. Release your husband to fulfill his role. He is ultimately responsible to protect you and provide for you. God didn't create two Adams. He created an Adam and an Eve.

Read Genesis 1:27; 2 Thessalonians 3:10; and 1 Timothy 5:8.

5. Respect and honor your husband. Let him be the leader. Look at him and give him attention when he speaks to you. He will thrive when you respect him.

6. Always have a hearty and nutritious meal ready for your husband when he comes home at the end of the day.

7. Keep accountable to your marriage by frequently asking yourself the question, "Would I say, do, or act like this to my husband if we were still courting?" Keep courting your husband even into your golden years!

8. Encourage your husband daily. Speak loving and encouraging words to him—your words either build or destroy your marriage. Smile at him each time you look at him. Concentrate on his good points and be big enough to overlook the negatives--you didn't notice them when you fell in love.

9. Endeavor to touch, cuddle, or kiss your husband when you pass one another in the home. Make love to your husband as much as possible. Don't always wait for him to initiate.
