“I discovered Above Rubies magazine one day while at my grandparent’s home about two years ago. After reading the issue from cover to cover, I hopped on my grandma's computer and subscribed.  I've been devouring issues ever since!

I just wanted to let you know what a blessing the latest issue of Above Rubies was to me. I was especially challenged by your article on morning and evening devotions. I was challenged (and convicted!) to begin having a morning devotion with our three small children after breakfast. At first, it seemed a bit daunting to have devotions twice a day (we were already having an evening devotion before bed); but I prayed and asked the Lord to help me establish this habit in our home. This morning as I went to get my Bible while the children finished their oatmeal, Amy (our 5 year old) jumped up and ran to get her Bible, too. Thank you, Nancy!

Another article that has really stayed with me was the one "My Third Child Changed My Life”. The author shared how she fought to keep her children on a strict schedule, especially regarding breastfeeding. Our youngest child just turned a year old and I am still nursing him several times a day. I sometimes receive "comments" from well meaning friends about weaning him... sometimes it's easy to second guess myself and I wonder if I'm doing the "right" thing or not by delaying weaning.  The article gave me the nudge I needed to continue doing what I feel is best for our son right now!”
